Expands It’s Operation with the Acquisition of Amcom Petroleum Systems Monroe, LA – AIMS, Inc. has acquired Amcom Petroleum Systems, the petroleum marketer software division of Amcom Data Processing of Sacramento and San Leandro, CA. AIMS
will continue to operate the petroleum marketer software division,
located in Sacramento, for the benefit of the former Amcom customers.
Former Amcom employees Patricia Travis and Dale Reinhardt have
joined AIMS and will continue to staff the Sacramento location.
Both are very experienced in the specialized field of jobber data
processing and are service–oriented people who have cultivated an
outstanding reputation among their customers. According
to Robert Canterbury, AIMS’ President, the acquisition fit perfectly
into AIMS’ strategic plan for expansion.
“There are a number of petroleum marketer-related software
companies out there that are not going to be able to make the investment
in product development that will let them remain viable.
Because AIMS intends to remain a major player in this line of
business, we can benefit from acquiring such companies. The customers of
these companies benefit because they will be assured of having the
software products and computer services they will need.” AIMS
brings expanded services, such as automated credit card processing, that
are vital to C-store operators and petroleum marketers. AIMS’ lead
software system, COMPAS, interfaces smoothly with major credit card
downloads. COMPAS also has fuel rack price download capability and
automated bank reconciliation with customer account drafting. Former
Amcom customers located in Arizona, California, Oregon, Washington and
Idaho have expressed appreciation for the expanded services and the
exemplary tech and transition support. ABOUT
