AIMS Announces Interface to Liquid Controls Truck Metering System

Monroe, LA, January 26, 2004AIMS, Inc., a leading software developer for the petroleum marketing and c-store industries, is pleased to announce the availability of an interface between its Complete Oil Marketers Perpetual Accounting System (COMPAS) software package and the Liquid Controls LectroCount 3000 series of on-board truck meters.

AIMS’ Vice President, Stan Hargus, emphasizes that this interface is very comprehensive.  “It was designed to eliminate as much keypunch work as possible.  The user builds and runs a degree-day run-out, or route, or Julian day delivery file in COMPAS’ Fuel Delivery Module.  This file is exported directly to the LC 3000 magnetic media cartridges.  It contains all the customer information, unit selling price, product codes, tax codes and driver messages to allow the LC system to print an accurate customer invoice at the time of delivery   The drivers no longer have to know customer margins or taxes.  When the drivers get back to the office at the ends of their runs, the accumulated invoice data on the LC cartridges is uploaded directly to COMPAS and the invoices are posted to the customer accounts.  No invoices have to be re-created in the office,” Hargus says.

The interface module, called “E-Metering,” can handle multiple bulk plant or branch office sites, and it will handle an unlimited number of delivery vehicles.

Liquid Controls, based in Lake Bluff, IL is a maker of a broad range of product flow measurement systems.
