Shell XML Credit Card Interface Now Available Monroe, LA, September, 2002 – AIMS, Inc. is pleased to announce that the development of the Shell XML credit card processing interface has been completed. Citgo and Conoco XML interfaces have already been made available. Other brands will be offered as additional suppliers make their credit card batches available in XML format. Implementation of such interfaces allow AIMS' clients to reduce their credit card processing time from hours to just minutes each week. Manual entry of this data can be time consuming and is subject to costly human error. Not only does this free up valuable employee time and allow the staff to focus on other important tasks, it will also save thousands of dollars a year. An added advantage is the efficiency that this interface offers, enabling the processing of all transactions throughout the COMPAS system without any manual intervention. The
credit card batches are received at the client's office via e-mail, and
are imported into their COMPAS accounting software
(produced by AIMS). Credit
card credits are automatically sorted and posted among their retail locations and/or dealers.
Credit
card payables are automatically updated.
Handling fees are taken care of according to parameters set up
for each retail location. The manual cards are also included within the
Shell XML transmissions, which is an added bonus. They are posted to COMPAS just as the “swipe” transactions
