Wired AST System

The Wired AST Tank Gauge is a permanently installed inventory system for above-ground storage tanks. The system consists of an electronic console, in-tank probes for liquid level sensing with physical wire connecting them.  The console is available with a blank face or display/keypad and can be located up to 500 feet from the tanks.

Console

The console contains all electronics for the wired tank probes. All data and the time of day clock are battery backed in case of power failure.  Additionally, the integral modem and RS232 communications ports will provide telephone access to the data for optional Fuel Tank Solution (FTS).

AST-Wired Probes

The probe is a state-of-the-art wired probe that utilizes Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR) technology to provide accurate levels.  The wired configuration allows constant level sampling for accurate overfill and sudden loss sensing.  The in-tank probe is custom designed with a flexible wave guide to fit a range of tank sizes from 4' to 84'. The system is programmed in the engineering lab and is shipped ready for quick and simple installation.
